Iron Chef - Round 1 Items
Round 1 Ingredients - glitter, chalks (no chalk stamps) and B&W papers...Donna sure if good at throwing people for a loop...I feel so useless with chalks...I never really use mine at all!
I struggled a bit with my LO...just wasn't sure how I wanted it all to come together but it turned out okay I think. Zane checked it out and told me that it looked kinda plain, but I didn't want it to be overly embellished etc, so I suppose I accomplished what I wanted then! LOL
This is my altered frame. I colored the picture using chalks and embellished it with glitter, including on the foam thickers letters and the flower I made. I think it really turned out nicely!
I wonder if I'll make it to Round 2...

Iron Chef...
This second one is from last week when we were out for a walk.
So I'm in Iron Chef IV over at Scrappers Haven and I am starting to freak out...ok, well just a little :) You see, it's already Wednesday afternoon and I have a few ideas in motion but I have nothing really started yet!!! Oddly enough though, at my Stampin' Up Technique Club last week, we made a card using dry embossing and chalk, so the rusty wheels in my head started turning. I ended up not finishing putting my card together so that I can possibly add the other required elements and have a project completed. But yet, here I sit on the computer (for about the 5th time already today) and I'm not working on anything.
I think I've come to the revelation that I'm an "alone" scrapper somewhat. I think I need to have no real distractions in order to be productive and not get frustrated. I love going to ScrapNite that we have every second Monday night, but I find although I get stuff done, I catch myself looking around and chatting much too much!! LOL I guess that's the point of going though, to see what others are up to and to have a night away...as well as a good visit!!! :D Hopefully tonight my hubby has hockey to watch (now that the Flames are in the playoffs and not my beloved Canucks :( ) and I can put on my iPod, crank the tunes and create away while he has some quality time with our kiddo LOL

I've been tagged!
The rules are as follows:
1. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
2. At the end of the post, the player then tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves a comment letting them know they've been tagged and to ask them to play along and to read your blog.

Some recent goodies I've received
And this loot came from Deborah at ScrappersHaven from the February crop. I did her card challenge and she sent me all these stamping goodies for winning it! Yup, I was shocked at this one too! I have yet to use these stamps, but I plan on it once I get around to making some more cards. All of these stamps are too cute! Thanks Deborah!!
Ok, so truth be told, I'm becoming quite competitive when it comes to this scrapbooking stuff and these challenges, but I do like that they are getting me to be more creative and that I am getting projects completed! I'm pretty sure I've done more LO's and cards this year already than I did in all of last year (and yeah, I know I had a baby in there LOL)
So after chatting with a few people over the past month and actually seeing someone do it, I'm now tempted to unmount all of my rubber stamps. Question is...am I really, seriously, brave enough to take the plunge and go for it??? Has anyone out there tried this? I would love to get some feedback!
My friend is starting to do hers and she is leaving the squishy foam stuff on the backs of the stamps and then attaching them to this vinyl cling stuff that she picked up at the local hardware store. She says that there this enough 'tack' on the cling stuff that it should stick no problem to her clear stamping blocks. I'm not sure that I'm all to keen on that method myself, but I'm not sure what else I want to do. I did read somewhere I'm sure that there would be enough sticky goo on the foam stuff to stick to the inside of the CD case and that it should stick to the clear blocks too. This seems to me like a fairly good idea considering how infrequently I use my stamps. It's not like they'd be going back and forth numerous times to have the stickiness wear out. Hmmm...just can't decide!!!!
Anyone know of people who may be looking to buy some used sets of Stampin' Up stamps? I have quite a few that are collecting dust and I'm looking to offload them. I will get around to posting their names etc tomorrow hopefully (it's after 2am now and I'm finally starting to get tired, NO more caffeineated pop for me! Especially in the evening! LOL) If you know of anyone, please contact me in the comments section! If I can't sell them this way, I will probably post them on Splitcoast Stampers in the near future. I wouldn't mind trying the ebay route, but I'm chicken to try that too LOL

Some of my latest
Here's a few samples...
Glenda's Step by step was a lot of fun as well. It was to learn how to make homemade posies. These are how mine turned out! Please message me if you'd like to learn how and I'll get you the correct link. I'm having problems posting it properly in here for some reason. I may come back and try again later.
