So, as you can see, my Hottie ATC swap cards have arrived!

And all I can say is Wow, these gals did a fantastic job! I had no clue what to expect because I've never participated in one and the only ones I could really find online looks WAY too complicated LOL

Patiently waiting...

So here I sit this morning, wondering if my ATC's will arrive today or not....I know Glenda mailed them because Tess got hers this past Monday...yes Monday and I only live 3 hrs North of her and I still haven't gotten mine! I even checked at the post office twice yesterday! LOL I'm going to post the pics of the ones I did though, and then when I get them all I'll share a picture of them :)

I didn't do anything terribly spectacular, cuz I truly didn't know what to do with this being my first time. Yup, I was a virgin ATC'er. So I took his pic, put it on a black background, added Trevors name and a little heart shaped metal brad. On the side I wrote, 20 year one-sided love affair (cuz that's what it is LOL)

Had planned on maybe doing NKOTB for one as well, but my pictures didn't print out so well so I gave up on having a surprise set included. (Sorry Glenda haha)

Iron Chef Round 5 (final round) menu items were posted (chipboard, plastics and stamping) and I really think I can handle these!!! I was planning out my altered item last night! Hopefully I can work on it today!

Round 4 Items

And can you believe it???? I won the round again!!! Sweet! I'm really disappointed though that out of the 7 of us who were in the round, only 4 (and that includes me) submitted their items. Yeah, people are busy with spring/summer and Donna said she was sure it might have something to do with the store closing down but it's still sad! I'm just not sure what the store closing would truly have to do with it. Why not finish the contest? Oh well...never mind my rambling...

I have to thank my hubby as well, as he gave me fantastic ideas for making my card even better than what I originally came up with and for giving me the starting point for my altered item.

Iron Chef Round 4

Well, I made it to Round 4 and it's a TOUGH one!! Fibre, felt and no patterned paper are the ingredients and I tell you, it was HARD! I'm still working on my altered item, so I suppose I should get a move on it, in case we go camping this weekend. You have to have your pictures uploaded before 7pm MST on Sunday and I'm pretty sure we may not be home by then.

WOW!

I can't believe it! I won the 3rd Round of Iron Chef!!! I'm a little stunned, especially considering the other entries! The layouts and altered items by the other girls were AMAZING!!! I was really sorry to see that some of the girls didn't get their items in on time and some never even made an appearance at all. Luckily they can be Sous Chef's this time though and have a chance to get back into the next round!

I know that things are getting busier with spring coming etc (I know I am!) so I was so happy that I got my projects completed in time. I have such a wonderful and supportive hubby who was constantly reminding me to work on them so that I wouldn't get stuck in the end and not get finished, especially considering that we had our garage sale this past weekend too. I'll have to hustle and bustle this round too, cuz we're going camping for the Long weekend and we're taking off for the weekend after too!

Hmmm...I wonder what the ingredients for Round 4 will be....

Well, they're in for judging as of yesterday so now's the time to cross my fingers and hope that I get to play in the next round!!

My ATC's are finished!

Whoohoo!! I got them done last night, although there really wasn't all the much to finish because I did most of it at Scrapnite last Monday. They're pretty plain, but really, Mr Linden is handsome enough that he doesn't require extra 'embellishment" LOL ;-)

I'd post a picture, but a few people are popping on to my blog lately that are taking part in the swap it's for, so I think I'll wait a bit. Thanks for being patient!

I'm also excited because I signed up at the DreamGirls Challenge Blog. I've looked in a few times but have never signed up for the message board. It looks like a fun place to be and I know a few of the designers on it from Scrappershaven. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people there!!

Started on my LO for round 3 of Iron Chef yesterday and worked on it more tonight. I'm really liking what I've come up with so far! I'm a bit stuck on what to do for my altered item....but I still have a week to figure it out. Usually my LO is what gets me 'stuck' for ideas so I'm off to a good start this time I guess :) I'm having a lot of fun participating in this contest and I'm feeling encouraged a lot too. I never made it past Round 2 when I participated in Iron Chef II. I never participated in the last Iron Chef contest because having a baby severely limits scrappy time for awhile LOL

Sad sad sad...and more sad...

So, I've delayed writing for a few days now cuz I'm not sure what I really wanted to say without sounding like a blubbering idiot on here. I got an email the other morning basically saying that Scrappershaven is going to close. Now I know Donna is off to do better and more wonderful things with her life now, but it doesn't make me any less sad. I'm pretty bummed out about it and I just get this awful sad feeling whenever I go the site now, knowing that at the end of June it will be now more. I only wish I had the money to take over it for her and keep it running, but I don't, and I think that makes me even MORE sad....

I've signed up at a couple other places recently, so that I have somewhere else to browse during the day, but it's very scary! I don't know these people and I feel like I'm walking into unchartered territory type thing. I know change can be good, but it doesn't make it any less scary! Guess I will have to see how things go, but it kind of feels like I'm going to lose a good friend soon and it breaks my heart!

On somewhat of a lighter note, round 2 of iron chef went really good. I won in my group and then I won the round overall! I was so excited!!! I haven't started on my projects yet for Round 3, but I hope to get on them this weekend. If I have even a hope of winning this contest, I'd better make sure my projects kick some butt LOL
