Good gosh, what have I done!!!??????
I signed up to do an ATC (artist trading card) swap through ScrappersHaven. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!!! The 'topic' for them is "hottie", so I've narrowed it down to three actually (although I only put two on the board there)...Trevor Linden, Brad Pitt and of course, who could leave out Jonathan Knight (I know, old crushes die hard LOL)
I have no clue what picture to use, OR what to do with it to make an ATC that will do my 'chosen one' justice.
For those who may be wondering why I did not choose my hubby for this...
I wasn't allowed!!!
Off to continue searching for a worthy photo!!

Cricut is here!!!!
My new Cricut Expressions came yesterday and I'm so excited!!! I spent some time last night rearranging my 'space' and Zane helped me change my little metal organizer so that I could put my Cricut on top of it. I'm so weird when it comes to my stuff, I want it all within arms reach it seems. No wonder my butt is so darn big (LOL) considering that I don't want to get out of my chair to go and get things. Yet if I had my dream room with all the cabinets etc, I'd probably be crazy in there because everything would be all over the place!
The two cartridges that came with it are Plantin' Schoolbook and Accent Essentials and I love them both! The Accent one is neat as well cuz it's all sorts of, well, accents LOL but I think they're great!
The story behind my Cricut is that I was wanting the older model (which is smaller, more portable and more of what I'd need) and I was telling Zane that it was pretty much all I was going to ask for this year...whether it be for birthday, or Christmas etc. So I was scrapbooking one evening and went through my alpha drawer for the 100th time it seemed and I finally threw my hands up and stressed that I wanted a Cricut this year and he basically told me to get it now. Therefore I did :) I found a good deal on ebay with 1 minute left to go and I bought it. I'm quite excited that it will also use all the previous Cricut cartridges, so I can play share-sies with my mom and sister (and they with me too of course!)
I haven't done much scrappin' lately so I figure I should get on it if I'm going to do a few more of the challenges for March at ScrappersHaven. Their online crop is this Friday as well and I'm eager to participate in it again too! I'm not sure I'll do all the challenges this time for it, but I'm looking forward to having a scrap nite with my online friends!
Mom and I started up a Scrapbooking Get Together Nite every second Monday at the local church in the basement and it's going all right so far. Unfortunately not that many attend, but it's nice to see the ones who do! I hope more are able to come in the future!

So much to do!
So little time!!! Scrappershaven is having a contest in March for the board members and the person who does the most challenges will win a prize. I was all geared up for this one, until the challenges started rolling in and now I'm SO behind LOL There are WAY more than I expected! It's 2 weeks in, as they are posted on Fridays and after writing them all down, so far there are 9 challenges for me to do and I have officially finished 2 and am almost finished the 3rd one. (I'm just waiting for my Cricut Expressions to arrive so I can do a cool title for it! - I really hope it doesn't take too long!)
I guess I should work on some of these challenges before I get even further behind! I wish I could pull something together quickly, but I'm a 2-4 hour LO kind of gal usually, and not because it's fancy, but because I just take forever to make things work! LOL

Some LO's (new and older)
How could I not post a pic or two of my kiddo??? This was him in December and I fell in love with his laugh, so I thought I'd do a page about it. The letters didn't turn out the greatest and it truly looks better in real life, but oh well. They were from my SU alpha stamps and man what a tedious job that was cutting them out!! LOL
This next LO is one I made while at Scraptacular in Cold Lake. Not sure if you can see, but I pasted clear buttons over some patterned paper and then cut them out for an neat matching embellishment. I also like how my title is kind of a double title, depending how you read it.
I did my best to use the overlay that Rebecca sent me last year in a RAK. I'm not all that happy with my journalling (I did this one at Scraptacular too) because I did not have a computer handy for typing it up.
And finally for now, my favorite LO of my hubby and I. Kept this one simple, but the meaning to me is there. I put the words to Bless the Broken Road by Rascall Flatts, not because it was our son, but because the words describe how my life was, and how I was feeling before I met my husband. Under the part with our initials is a bag book that opens to reveal my journalling for him.

Off we go!!!
Well, I'm going to take a stab at having a Scrapbooking and Cardmaking Blog seeing as I'm pretty lazy at updating my other blog. Besides, I'm not sure anyone actually reads that one anyway LOL
So this blog is just going to feature some of my layouts (LO), as well as show off some of the cards I've done recently. I lost my scrapbooking oomph last year while I was pregnant and this year have made a vow to do better AND more LO's than before. I think I'm off to a pretty good start!
Be sure to drop in often and leave a comment or two to say hello, so I know that you've stopped by!!
